Hill Child Development Center
Opened in February 2002, the Gads Hill Child
Development Center serves
170 children and their families. The Center is located at the
Sinai Community Institute's (SCI) Center for Families and Neighbors,
and is a collaborative effort, joining forces with the North
Lawndale Employment Network, SCI's WIC program, and the array
of family-centered support and prevention services of the Sinai
Community Institute. The ultimate goal of the Child Care Center
is to partner with parents in strengthening families.

Start
Our Head Start program provides high quality, on-site
early-childhood education and healthcare services to 100 three to
five year olds and their families. Head Start activities take
place at our Child Development Center in North Lawndale, with six
state of the art classrooms.
- Early
Head Start Enhanced Daycare Homes
Providing
daycare for 25 children, ages 6 months - 3 years, through seven home
care providers, who are supervised and supported by a Gads Hill
professional in specially qualified and licensed day care homes.
The children participate in a stimulating environment of nurturing
activities that address their cognitive, social, emotional and
physical growth needs.
- Home-Based Head Start
Our home-based, Head Start program serves children ages three
to five and their families by promoting the children's healthy
development, preparing them for success in school, and supporting
their parents' personal and career growth. Teachers from Gads
Hill travel to participants' homes.
