Gads Hill Center

Today is "Thank Your Mentor" Day!
Dear Friend,

When you were a child or young adult, was there someone in your life - a teacher, neighbor, relative, coach, friend, or boss - who encouraged you, showed you the ropes, and helped you become who you are today? That person was a mentor to you.

Mentoring at Gads Hill Center

January is National Mentoring Month, and today, January 22, 2009 is the sixth annual "Thank Your Mentor" Day.

Join many other Americans in honoring an important mentor in your life!
Here are some ways you can honor them:

Contact your mentor

Take the time to reach out and thank someone who made a difference in your life: give them a call, send them an email and express your appreciation.

Share your story

Tell your friends about that special someone who pointed you in the right direction when you needed it the most. Also, ask them to share their stories and discuss the lessons they contain.

Pass it on!

Become a mentor to a young person in your community. New Horizons, Gads Hill Center's new mentoring program, is looking for enthusiastic individuals willing to guide, help and support middle school students from the community. Inspired?
