OUR VISION

That every family and every individual has the opportunity, the skills, and the education to make a better life.

OUR MISSION

Gads Hill, a family resource center established in 1898, partners with our community to develop the assets of children, youth, adults, and families.

NUESTRA MISION

Gads Hill es un centro comunitario para familias, establecido en 1898, que trabaja con nuestra comunidad en el desarollo de las habilidades y valores de los niños, adolescentes, adultos y familias.

MISSION AND VISION IN PRACTICE

In collaboration with our community and other organizations, Gads Hill Center offers programs that support and empower the economically and educationally disadvantaged residents of Chicago's Pilsen, Back of the Yards, Little Village, and North Lawndale neighborhoods. We put our mission into action through a variety of quality services that are flexible, responsive to the immediate needs of the community, and culturally sensitive.

Gads Hill programming includes:

  • Early childhood care and education
  • Educational support and recreation for school-aged children
  • Teen tutoring, mentoring and educational planning
  • Parental education
  • Preparation for higher education and civic leadership
  • Family support during times of need or crisis
  • Institutional facilities where the community can gather

Gads Hill Center's mission is its guide in developing and refining programs that truly reach and bring about positive change in the community. We are committed to helping parents build their children's developmental skills, relationships, values, and self-perceptions through family-centered, community-oriented educational programming and social activities.
